This project was a collaboration with Jonathan Lob (Innen Design) for a previously remodeled home in Palermo, Buenos Aires. The client needed to better use the space under the stairs, add storage, improve lighting, and create visual harmony in the living-dining area—all without major structural changes.
The core of the design is a custom wall unit that conceals the staircase behind a built-in storage system. This piece includes a central bar niche, closed cabinets, and decorative shelving. What was once a difficult corner filled with clutter became the project’s strongest feature—clean, functional, and tailored.
We also reworked the fireplace, which felt out of scale with the room, and designed a new ceiling system with perimeter lighting grooves and wooden slats over the bar area to add warmth and cohesion. On the adjacent wall, we installed a floor-to-ceiling mirror to reflect natural light and enhance the sense of spaciousness.
I handled the 3D modeling, rendering, and all technical documentation, including millwork, lighting, and ceiling plans. The project was executed precisely with these materials. This intervention proves how thoughtful design can completely transform a space—without tearing anything down.
