Custom caravan-style bed

This design was a personal commission from a client in Hong Kong, created for his young son. The idea was to develop a bed that would feel like a safe space, a place to play, and an organized storage solution all at once. That’s how this caravan-style bed came to life — with shelves over the headboard, an integrated socket for a night lamp, toy storage at the front, and a side shelf for plush animals.

Everything was custom-designed: from the structure to the smooth, rounded edges for safety. I chose light wood-effect melamine and white lacquered surfaces to achieve a Scandinavian minimalist style — clean, warm, and practical. The most challenging (and fun) part was shaping the storage to feel like an organic part of the camper van silhouette.
