Custom Furniture Design - Hanging Nightstand

This project consists of two custom hanging nightstands designed for a guest bedroom in California, USA. The goal was to create pieces that integrate seamlessly with the existing furniture, particularly the built-in closet, while freeing up floor space and keeping the room visually light.

The design was developed with a strong focus on technical precision and detail resolution. Each unit features a top drawer with an integrated J-pull handle for a clean, handle-free look, along with an open lower shelf that reduces visual weight. Rounded edges were incorporated throughout to improve comfort and usability in a compact space. The French cleat system was integrated from the beginning as part of the construction logic.

The client built the pieces directly from the provided technical package, with only minor adjustments. This project reflects my approach: creating furniture that is not only visually refined, but fully resolved for real-world fabrication, with clear, buildable documentation.
