Kid's Loft

A family from Costa Rica contacted me to transform the bedroom for their two children. Communication was conducted through video calls and emails, allowing for a smooth exchange of ideas and presentations. Our goal was to define a design and detailed construction plans for their trusted carpenter to execute the project accurately.

The main challenge was to maximize a small space and convert it into a functional and cozy bedroom for two children. The room, with several windows allowing abundant natural light, included a closet and a sloped ceiling, which presented challenges in terms of space distribution.

We opted for a modern loft-style design focused on maximizing functionality while creating a calm and welcoming environment for the children. The solution was to create a platform at the highest part of the sloped ceiling to place the beds. Access to this platform is via stairs with built-in storage, providing several compartments for books and toys.
