O’Higgins Kitchen Renovation

This residential renovation in Buenos Aires transforms an existing kitchen into a brighter, more functional space designed entirely around the homeowners’ needs before moving into their new apartment.

The original kitchen was completely rethought, while maintaining the existing service locations and carefully integrating them into the new layout. The design focused on increasing countertop space and storage, with custom cabinetry developed to organize everyday items, cookware and appliances, as well as illuminated glass-front cabinets specifically designed to display the homeowners’ tableware.

I developed the project from the initial concept through 3D visualization and a comprehensive technical documentation package. This included floor plans, interior elevations, custom cabinetry details, countertop and finish specifications, lighting and electrical layouts, plumbing, gas and ventilation drawings, providing the construction team with clear information for execution.

The material palette combines white Shaker-style cabinetry with light stone surfaces, large-format porcelain flooring and warm integrated lighting, creating a clean and timeless interior. Particular attention was given to the cabinetry interiors, storage organization and construction details, including adjustable shelving, pull-out systems, integrated waste storage and dedicated spaces for small appliances.

The project was executed by Constructora Axis, with continued communication throughout construction to clarify details and resolve site conditions as they emerged. The completed kitchen closely reflects the original design and documentation, demonstrating a successful transition from concept and technical development to the built result.
